Xbox Game Pass has confirmed that a brand new open-world cooperative game will be coming to the service as part of its May 2023 offering.

 

 

Xbox Game Pass has confirmed that Farworld Pioneers will be a new open-world co-op game coming to the subscription service on May 30.

Farworld Pioneers is not the only co-op game coming to Xbox Game Pass in May 2023. The cooperative vampire shooter Redfall, will arrive on May 2. In it, up to four players can explore a city full of vampires with friends.

Farworld Pioneers will offer a significantly different experience, but it will still appeal to those looking for a new co-op game.

For those who haven’t heard, Farworld Pioneers is an open-world game. You can explore alien planets alone or with friends. Players can work together or compete against each other on multiplayer servers. The latter can support up to 32 people. According to the official description, the game lets players recruit AI survivors, build their own colonies, craft items, farm, and more. The game uses a 2D perspective instead of 3D, like most open-world games, which should help it stand out from other titles on the market.

Farworld Pioneers sounds like a unique and fun experience on paper. Fortunately, those interested can try it out with an Xbox Game Pass subscription on launch day, May 30. Farworld Pioneers isn’t the only first-day Game Pass game launching in May, so subscribers can expect plenty of new titles to come in the month ahead.

In addition to the aforementioned Redfall and Farworld Pioneers, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect three other games in May 2023 so far.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 will arrive on Game Pass on May 11. Amnesia: The Bunker will join the lineup on May 16. And Railway Empire 2 will come on 25 May. It is almost certain that many more games will be added to the service in May 2023.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have plenty to look forward to in May 2023. However, new games will also be added to the service in April. The two most notable are Minecraft Legends, which launches on 18 April (also as a day one title), and The Last Case of Benedict Fox. The latter will join Game Pass on 27 April.
