Warsawianka

Warszawianka is a fictional Polish drama series depicting the tragicomic adventures of a 40-year-old local legend (Borys Szyc) in Warsaw. Borys is a complex character. He’s always a party-goer, an indefatigable womanizer who’s on good terms with everyone. However, behind the cheerful exterior lives a tormented, self-loathing man who fell into the trap of his parents (Krystyna Janda and Jerzy Skolimowski) and who was bound by the culture and age that shaped him. He is a dreamer and his talent as a writer won the hearts of the X generation. But it’s like he hasn’t grown up yet. Not strong enough. Having had and then losing everything, he tries to make sense of the modern world populated by the city’s most interesting characters.
