Mortal Kombat 1 Will Require A Ton Of Space, Going By Its System Requirements!

The size of NetherRealm Studios’ next game will not be small, so it’s recommended that you consider buying a new SSD, as the latest Mortal Kombat reboot will be a triple-digit gigabyte game.

Mortal Kombat 1 already has a Steam page, and NetherRealm and Warner have listed the system requirements here. It’s also strange: the last time the first season pass (Kombat Pack) was leaked was four months before the game’s release, and now they’ve even revealed what PC you’ll need to play the game. It’s like they’ve finished the game…

Minimum system requirements:

  • 64-bit operating system and processor required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version number mentioned)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100/Ryzen 5 2600 or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, AMD Radeon RX 470, or Intel Arc A750 or better
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free storage: 100 GB

Not mentioned, but an Internet connection due to Denuvo (as Warner uses the “calling-home” DRM in all its games, which caused some stuttering when using certain moves in Injustice 2…)

Recommended system requirements:

  • 64-bit operating system and processor required
  • Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (no version number mentioned)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, or Intel Arc A750 or better
  • DirectX: DX12
  • Free storage: 100 GB
  • Internet connection for Denuvo

Mostly fair (although the editorial office has older configurations), but the size has increased considerably. Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition took up 20 GB, and Mortal Kombat 11 was similarly around 100 GB, mainly because of the 4K scenes and the truckload of cosmetics. Mortal Kombat 1 promises a new combat system, gameplay modes, and executions, with Kameo characters to help you through the fights.

The game will be released on September 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
