Xbox Game Pass: The First June 2023 Update

Three things are fixed in life: death, taxes, and the fact that the Redmond-based company updates its subscription service twice a month.

As usual, Microsoft’s announcement reminds us that two games are already available on Xbox Game Pass: Chicory: A Colorful Tale (console [Xbox Series, Xbox One], PC, cloud) and Farworld Pioneers (console, PC). On June 1, Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 (console, PC, cloud), Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer (console, PC, cloud, launching in Game Pass), and The Big Con (console, PC, cloud) will arrive, with Amnesia: The Bunker (console, PC, cloud) and Hypnospace Outlaw (console, PC, cloud) joining the service on June 6. The former is a recent release, and the latter a returning title.

On June 8, Rune Factor 4 Special (console, PC, cloud) and Stacking (console, cloud) will be added, and finally, on June 13, Dordogne (console, PC, cloud) will be a fresh-into-Game Pass release. Then Microsoft reminds us of another game (their formatting of the list is unusual), Supraland Six Inches Under (console, PC, cloud). As for the DLCs, EA Play allows you to play Super Mega Baseball 4 for ten hours before its release if you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber. On June 7, the fifth season of Battlefield 2042, New Dawn, and the Minecraft Trials & Tales update will be released.

There is one Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perk: the Obsidian Eye of Reach Pack in Sea of Thieves. Finally, these games will leave the service on June 15, but they will be available for purchase at up to 20% off, as is customary. The departing games are Bridge Constructor Portal (console, PC, cloud), Chorus (console, PC, cloud), Maneater (console, PC, cloud), Mortal Shell (console, PC, cloud), Serious Sam 4 (console, PC, cloud) and Total War: Three Kingdoms (PC).

Not a substantial update, but it’s more than nothing. Maybe they are keeping something significant for their E3 replacement showcase.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
