Asteroid City: Wes Anderson’s Worst Movie According to Rotten Tomatoes

MOVIE NEWS – Wes Anderson’s latest film, Asteroid City, was not an undivided success with critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has a freshness index of only 52%, which is the director’s weakest result to date.

Wes Anderson’s films are unique in the film world. The director’s distinctive visual style, humorous and melancholic atmosphere, and star-studded cast have earned him many fans over the years. Anderson’s films are generally well received by critics, who acknowledge the director’s creativity and originality.

However, his film Asteroid City did not live up to expectations. The film takes place in a fictional American desert town in 1955, where the Junior Stargazer convention is taking place. Students and parents from all over the country gather to admire the sky and get to know each other. The film stars Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Edward Norton, Margot Robbie and Willem Dafoe.

The film did not receive good reviews, many found it boring, self-serving and overcrowded. It has a freshness score of 52% on Rotten Tomatoes, which means that more than half of the critics gave the film a negative review. This is Anderson’s worst result on the website so far, even his first film Firecracker did better (66%).

Fans weren’t thrilled with Asteroid City either. The film has an IMDB score of 6.2, which is also lower than the average for Anderson’s previous films. Many felt that the film did not bring the magic and depth that they were used to from Anderson’s work.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Asteroid City is a bad movie. Many still enjoyed the film’s visuals, music and acting. Anderson’s style remains unique and recognizable. Maybe the expectations of the director were too high, or maybe he just didn’t find the voice and theme that really captures the audience.
