Samuel L. Jackson Is Disappointed – Could He Be Left Out Of One Of The MCU’s Blockbusters?!

MOVIE NEWS – Samuel L. Jackson has appeared in many MCU projects as Nick Fury. But there’s another Marvel Studios franchise he’d like to be a part of.

Samuel L. Jackson has played Nick Fury in the MCU for 15 years. He first appeared in the Iron Man post-credits scene. Jackson has played the character in 11 MCU films. However, the legendary actor is surprised and disappointed that Fury hasn’t joined the Black Panther franchise yet.

Nick Fury was an indispensable part of the MCU. He put the Avengers together, he led S.H.I.E.L.D., and he fought the Skrulls for a second time in Secret Invasion. Fury has appeared in the Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Avengers, Captain Marvel and Spider-Man franchises. However, Fury has not yet appeared in the Black Panther franchise, and Jackson is keen to change that.

Jackson spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Secret Invasion, where he revealed which MCU franchises he’d really like to be in.

“If I had it my way, I would’ve been in every Marvel movie ’cause I mean he is Nick Fury, he knows everything that’s going on. I’m still trying to figure out why I’ve never been to Wakanda,” Jackson said. “They didn’t ask me to go, but I’m still trying to get there. I need a ticket.”

Samuel L. Jackson still has time to visit Wakanda and join the Black Panther franchise. Not much is known about the Iron Heart series, which is coming to Disney Plus in the fall of 2023. However, Jackson may find a way to appear if one of the scenes takes place in Wakanda. Otherwise, no announcement about a third Black Panther movie has been made yet. If there is to be one, it will have to wait until Phase 7 of the MCU. Other films featuring Fury in Wakanda could be Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars. Hopefully, Kevin Feige will find a way to get Jackson a ticket to Wakanda.

Until then, fans will have to settle for Jackson playing Fury in Secret Invasion. Or maybe a Skrull impersonating Fury, like at the end of Spider-Man: Stranger Things. Secret Invasion is a six-episode spy thriller that follows Fury and his allies Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos as they try to prevent a faction of Skrulls from invading Earth.
