AMD Has Struck Again! That’s Why There Won’t be Nvidia DLSS in Starfield!

Starfield is a sci-fi RPG that uses the latest technologies for graphics and gameplay. But there is one big problem: the game will not have DLSS support, which is designed for NVIDIA graphics cards and uses artificial intelligence to improve image quality. This is because AMD, NVIDIA’s biggest competitor, has prevented DLSS from spreading across games. But why did AMD do this and what does it mean for gamers?

Starfield won’t have DLSS support because AMD blocked it! This is the bombshell news about Bethesda’s role-playing game, which uses the latest technologies for graphics and gameplay. But why did AMD do this and what does it mean for gamers? Read on and find out!

Starfield is a science fiction role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game will be released on November 11, 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. The game takes place in a huge open-world galaxy where players can explore different planets, civilizations and spaceships.

The graphics of the game will be very detailed and realistic, as the developers use the latest technologies. An example of this is ray tracing, which enables a realistic representation of lights and shadows. However, another important technology, DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), will be missing from the game.

DLSS is a technology designed for NVIDIA graphics cards that uses artificial intelligence to improve image quality. With DLSS, games can be run at higher resolutions and frame rates without losing performance. This would be especially important in the case of Starfield, which promises to be a resource-intensive game.

But then why won’t there be DLSS support in Starfield? The answer is simple: because of AMD. AMD is NVIDIA’s biggest competitor in the graphics card market, and they supply the processors and graphics chips for the Xbox Series X/S consoles. AMD has its own solution to DLSS, known as FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). FSR works in a similar way to DLSS, but does not require special hardware or software.

So AMD understandably doesn’t want NVIDIA’s technology to spread across games, so they’re trying to get developers to use FSR instead. It seems that Bethesda has managed to achieve this as well, as only FSR will be available in Starfield. This means that PC gamers with NVIDIA cards will not be able to take advantage of DLSS and may experience poorer performance.

Of course, this does not mean that Starfield will look or run poorly on NVIDIA cards. The developers will surely optimize the game for all platforms. But the fact is that AMD’s decision affects the technological possibilities of the game, and this may not make NVIDIA fans happy. What do you think about this? Tell us in the comments!
