New Assassin’s Creed Game Comes – Here’s The Trailer And Release Date! [VIDEO]

Ubisoft Bordeaux has revealed that Mirage will not be the only Assassin’s Creed title to be released in 2023. This second one will arrive a month later…

A brand new Assassin’s Creed game, previously announced in June, will be released in November. This means that the upcoming AC Mirage won’t be the only title to be released in 2023.

Assassin’s Creed is an action-adventure game series that focuses on stealth and open-world exploration and is the spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia games, set during a fictional feud between the Assassin Order and the Knights Templar.

IGN has released a fresh trailer for a new title called Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, a first-person adaptation of the classic gameplay from the series. The player controls three iconic protagonists – Connor from Assassin’s Creed 3, Kassandra from Odyssey and fan favourite Ezio from AC 2. Each of them has a different fighting style. According to the narrative, the plot centres on the Brotherhood’s plan to seize ancient technology and profile humans, who would then be recruited into their belief system. A mysterious voice summons the three assassins from the other side of time and space. Their goal is to join forces and thwart this evil plot. After introducing each of the assassins, along with their respective quips, the trailer concludes with a shot of Ezio landing in a haystack from a first-person view, a now iconic moment in the franchise.

In the comments, the reception seemed primarily positive, with many fans noting how solid the gameplay feels and others praising the return of the old Assassin’s Creed main characters, who haven’t appeared in over a decade, along with their original voice actors.

At the same time, the exclusivity of Meta Quest has come in for a lot of criticism. Many fans are clamouring for a version for the PlayStation 5 PSVR2 add-on. One commenter noted a lore mistake in the trailer. Kassandra was never officially an assassin in her own game, and she got into a fight with others because of it.

Virtual reality has quickly become a rising trend in the gaming industry, with the ability to cross multiple genres. It also offers a unique, immersive, first-person experience. With several iconic IPs having already tapped into this feature, it was only a matter of time before AC followed suit.
