In April, a new day-one game release has been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 2024. So gamers can look forward to at least one new title next year.

 

 

At the recent Xbox Partner Preview event, it was confirmed that Manor Lords will be a new day-one Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release in April 2024. The upcoming medieval strategy game will officially arrive on April 26, 2024, as part of PC Game Pass. Manor Lords is originally a PC-exclusive project, but Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users will also have the opportunity to play the game alongside PC Game Pass. Manor Lords joins an already growing list of Game Pass releases planned for next year.

Manor Lords was announced several years ago; developer Slavic Magic has been very active on social media, sharing short clips and giving insight into the development process.

The developers went to great lengths to showcase all aspects of the game and its medieval authenticity. Not surprisingly, it has already gained quite a fan base.

Slavic Magic shared a new trailer for Manor Lords as part of yesterday’s Xbox Partner Preview event. It included two important announcements. The first announcement was that Manor Lords is now confirmed to be released as a First Day Game Pass Ultimate edition. (Initially PC only.) The second announcement was the finalized release date for Manor Lords. Manor Lords will be available to play on April 26.

Slavic Magic clarifies that the April 2024 release of Manor Lords will be an early access version of the game, not the full release.

It has been confirmed that the early access version of Manor Lords will include core systems such as city building, army management and battles, territory claiming, and a limited selection of game modes and scenarios. The full release will significantly expand this content. It is not yet clear when Manor Lords will be released in full.

It was surprising to see Manor Lords featured as part of the Xbox Partner Preview event. PC games remain at the heart of Microsoft’s Game Pass plans. But it’s rare for games to feature so prominently. Manor Lords is also a somewhat niche project. It is a medieval strategy game with a complex economic and social system. The game was too impressive to be missed.

With the addition of Manor Lords to the list of Game Pass games, the year 2024 is starting to look very interesting.

Dozens of games have already confirmed next year’s Game Pass release. However, few have a release date. Persona 3 Reload will be released on February 2, and Eiyuden Chronicle will be released simultaneously. Hundred Heroes will arrive on April 24. We expect this list to grow as the new year approaches.
