Ghost Of Tsushima: Will Sony Announce Its PC Port Soon?

Sucker Punch’s PlayStation exclusivity is rumored to be coming to an end.

Today, there are only two (still active!) franchises that are present on PlayStation and not on PC. One is Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo (which has been around since the PS1, and we don’t see much chance of it ever making the jump to PC), and the other is Sucker Punch’s IP Ghost of Tsushima. This game was released back in July 2020 and still hasn’t made it to PC, even though several franchises and their newer (!) installments have received or are receiving PC ports. God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Horizon have all made their way to Steam and/or the Epic Games Store, so we can expect Ghost of Tsushima to make the trip.

According to Shpeshal Nick, Sony will announce the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima on Tuesday, March 5th. That sounds like a pretty concrete date, and since we’re two days away, we don’t have to wait long for Sony to announce (or not). If a PC port is indeed coming, it will most likely be Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, which is coming to the PlayStation 5 in August 2021 and is available on Valve and Epic Games’ digital store. This update added the island of Iki, which brought with it a new storyline and characters, new armor for Jin and his horse, as well as additions to mini-games, techniques, and enemy types.

If Sony does indeed port Ghost of Tsushima to PC (presumably with the help of Nixxes Software), will the cooperative multiplayer Ghost of Tsushima: Rivals mode? Originally, this was just a game mode that was then made into a standalone release. Whether the answer is yes or no, 9.73 million copies of Ghost of Tsushima had been sold by July 2022, so it’s no wonder that a movie adaptation is in the works with Chad Stahelski (John Wick), and he wants to make it with a Japanese cast and in Japanese.

The PC port is not official yet!
