Sam Raimi Has Addressed The Rumours About His Possible Spider-Man 4 Movie!

MOVIE NEWS – Sam Raimi tries to dispel the rumours, but his choice of words also gives some hope regarding the new adventure of the blockbuster saga.

Sam Raimi’s comment came as a cold shower to those hoping that Tobey Maguire’s title role will permeate Spider-Man 4. The famous director is “not yet” working on it.

After the massive success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, rumours started on the web about a possible fourth part of the saga starring Tobey Maguire, as well as a third The Amazing Spider-Man movie starring Andrew Garfield.

It is now 2024, and none of the projects have been implemented. But that doesn’t stop Raimi from being asked about the opportunity. His answer? Here it is:

“I did read that [the rumours], but I’m not actually working on it yet. I mean, Marvel and Columbia are so successful with current Spider-Man [movies], and the track there, and I don’t know that they’re going to go back to me, and say, ‘Well, folks, we can also tell that story!'” said the director of the last Doctor Strange in statements picked up by CBR when the filmmaker was at the recent WonderCon.

Could Spider-Man 4 be being discussed behind Sam Raimi’s back? “I haven’t talked to Tobey about it, but maybe Marvel has, or Columbia Pictures. But, I just worked with Marvel on a movie called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So, I’m on great terms with them. I’m sure I would hear about it if it was in the works,” he answered.

So the project can still be implemented. The fact that Sony and Marvel are able to collaborate can undoubtedly be seen as a small ray of hope for the release of the fourth part of the original Spider-Man saga. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. Not only because both companies are currently focusing on making another Spider-Man 4 this year, this time starring Tom Holland…
