Assassin’s Creed Rumors: is Assassin’s Creed: Red Coming Next Year?

There have been several rumors about perhaps Ubisoft’s most important IP, so it’s a good idea to bring them all together in one place so we don’t just report on one part of the franchise.

According to Insider Gaming, Assassin’s Creed: Red will be unveiled by Ubisoft on June 10th, which means that the French publisher will take the time to do so during Ubisoft Forward. The embargo will reportedly end on June 12, so we’ll see more gameplay and information from the press about the next installment of the IP. Remakes of older Assassin’s Creed titles are also planned. One is said to be in the works for IV: Black Flag, which was released in 2013, and there are also rumors that a remake of another episode will be made by the end of the decade.

Assassin’s Creed: Hexe, starring Elsa, is scheduled for release sometime in 2026 (and will be the next major episode in the franchise). Assassin’s Creed: Nebula is set in India, China and the Aztec Empire, but there’s also a multiplayer title in the works called Assassin’s Creed: Echoes and a co-op project for up to four players called Assassin’s Creed: Raid.

In addition to the release of Assassin’s Creed: Red, Assassin’s Creed: Infinity will launch as the new central hub for the franchise, and will likely be the setting for the modern day story. The franchise is moving towards a unified engine, reportedly called the Anvil Pipeline. This will allow for smoother development between parts and will allow for more modern technologies such as ray traced global illumination and virtual geometry.

Insider Gaming also revealed when the next installment in the franchise will be released. As for Assassin’s Creed: Red, it seems unlikely that it will reach the public before 2024, so it’s best to plan for early 2025, although it’s possible that it could hit stores in mid-2025, but they say that’s just a guess, so who knows what Ubisoft has planned.

This is all unofficial.
