Fallout and Dishonored Combined: WolfEye’s New Exciting Project!

WolfEye Studios, last seen with Weird West, is planning a bigger game, and we might get to see it soon.

Founded in 2019, WolfEye Studios is the brainchild of Julien Roby (former executive producer at Arkane) and Raphael Colantonio (former creative director at Arkane). The studio aims to create games with bold art direction and stylized graphics. This was already largely present in Weird West, so it’s not a big surprise that these terms fit the games in the context of Dishonored, as well as Prey in 2017.

WolfEye has started posting about the game, as three images of the still unnamed project have appeared on Twitter, which is absolutely like the 1999 movie Wild Wild West. Colantonio also spoke to Eurogamer editor Katharine Castle about the game, and shared some very interesting thoughts:

“If there is such a thing as a continuum between Fallout and Dishonored, I would say Prey is somewhere in the middle, because it’s already more RPG than Dishonored, and this new game is somewhere closer to Fallout as far as RPG-ness goes. Personally, I love RPGs that bounce back when you shoot them between the eyes. Obsidian’s games are pretty good at that, and that’s where we’re going with this game,” Colantonio said.

The project has been described by WolfEye’s Twitter as a first-person action RPG, and from Colantonio’s interview you get the absolute feeling that he was inspired by his former job at Arkane Studios (where he was a founding member and worked for them for 18 years) and also by Fallout, so we might get a Fallout experience with a Dishonored twist and Fallout within that: New Vegas is worth mentioning since Colantonio founded Obsidian Entertainment.

You can sign up for alpha access to the game at the studio’s website.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
