Brad Pitt Confronts Imposter and Issues a Warning!

TECH NEWS – Recently, someone impersonating Brad Pitt fell for a scam and lost a lot of money… and now the actor has responded to this case!

Recently, a 53-year-old French woman was conned out of more than $850,000 by a man pretending to be Brad Pitt. Only the actor had nothing to do with the AI-generated pictures and videos (i.e. it was a deepfake). It is likely that many people tipped Pitt off to the scam, as he released a statement after the scam.

Anne is the name of the French woman who reportedly fell into such a deep depression that she was hospitalized. The scammer, who has not yet been identified, made a small fortune from Anne’s divorce settlement. The actor probably read about this in the news and tried to make it clear that he had nothing to do with it. He told Entertainment Weekly that he thinks it’s terrible that scammers use these tactics to make a lot of money off the scammed: “It’s terrible that scammers are taking advantage of fans’ strong connection to celebrities… but this is an important reminder not to respond to unsolicited online solicitations, especially from actors who don’t have a social media presence.”

After transferring a bunch of money for Brad Pitt’s AI-generated kidney cancer treatment, Anne realized she’d been scammed when she saw the real Pitt with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. After informing the police, Anne told Seven to Eight that she had never hurt anyone in her life, so why was she chosen to be the next victim of the AI scam? So it would be good for everyone to be prepared, but with scammers using increasingly sophisticated techniques to exploit AI, not to mention the fact that AI is becoming more persuasive, people need to develop a new level of awareness when fighting these malicious individuals.

Of course, this also requires that you not fall for it. For example, a retired gentleman might receive a message from someone pretending to be a famous actress (Sandra Bullock, for example) and lose his life savings in installments because of the scam.
