Cyberpunk Gun-Fu Mayhem – SPINE Gets New Trailer and Switch 2 Confirmation [VIDEO]

It’s like a cyberpunk John Wick. If that sounds too good to be true, here’s your proof: SPINE has returned with a new trailer and confirmation that it’s coming to Nintendo Switch 2. Nekki still hasn’t revealed a release date, but the Galaxies Gaming Showcase gave us another peek at this wild action shooter.

SPINE has been one of gaming’s most enigmatic projects. First revealed back in 2021 by the creators of Shadow Fight and Vector, this solo, narrative-driven, cinematic action game promises insane stylized combat and visuals that feel too good to be real. With explosive gun-fu brawls reminiscent of John Wick and Equilibrium, SPINE continues to impress with every new look. Now, Nekki has dropped a new trailer and confirmed another platform for release.

Previously announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, SPINE will now also launch on Switch 2. No specific release date has been announced yet, but it’s currently expected to arrive sometime in 2025.

SPINE Makes You the Star of a High-Octane Action Flick

To go along with the platform announcement, Nekki revealed a brand-new trailer during the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, spotlighting the game’s signature Freeflow Gun Fu combat system. The gameplay is built to combine fluid melee and ranged combat, letting players chain moves and flips with style, precision, and cinematic flair. Every punch, shot, and dodge is designed to be sensory eye candy.

“For us, it’s all about giving players full cinematic control,” explained game director Dmitry Pimenov. “We want you to feel like both the lead actor and director of your own action film.” Dynamic camera movements and open-ended combat options all enhance immersion, letting each fight play out like a blockbuster sequence.

The trailer also teased Hardcore Mode, a brutal challenge for elite players. Here, Redline—the game’s hero—dons a pair of iconic sunglasses that stay intact only if you complete the entire game without taking a single hit. It’s a stylish detail that reinforces SPINE’s high-stakes, high-style ethos. Based on what we’ve seen so far, this game could be one of the boldest action titles in the pipeline.
