The Shadow Syndicate: A Little Noir from the 1930s! [VIDEO]

KillaSoft’s narrative-driven stealth action game looks very promising, and it won’t be coming to the previous generation of consoles.

The Shadow Syndicate is a narrative-driven stealth action game set in a stylized 1930s Brooklyn. Play as Sam Marlowe, a retired soldier turned private detective, as he unravels a citywide conspiracy involving secret societies, occult forces, and a creeping darkness that threatens to consume everything. Sneak, fight, and investigate through a rich cinematic experience that blends noir storytelling with supernatural abilities and fast-paced action. Use your cursed sacrificial ring to unleash powerful abilities-at a price. Explore a vibrant open city between missions, filled with colorful characters, mini-games, and mysteries waiting to be uncovered.

Uncover secrets through detective-style gameplay. Uncover clues, interrogate NPCs, and solve tangram puzzles in your journal to unlock new story paths and uncover the hidden forces behind Brooklyn’s chaos. Engage in cinematic gunplay with bullet-time, stealth takedowns, and supernatural abilities. Use your ring to stun, teleport, or instantly execute enemies-but be warned: each power comes with a deadly curse that grows stronger over time.

Return to a vibrant city center after each mission. Play blackjack in hidden dens, throw darts in neighborhood bars, or bowl with the locals. Side quests and evolving neighborhoods provide emotional respite and narrative depth between major events. Upgrade your skills, manage the intensity of your curse, and adapt your tactics to survive. Each encounter rewards creativity, patience, or sheer daring. Take on enemy factions ranging from mafia enforcers to occult agents. As the city’s shadowy history unfolds, so does your place in a war between order, chaos, and something far more ancient.

The Shadow Syndicate is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, but we don’t know when we can expect KillaSoft’s game.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
