Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Will It Be Even Thinner Than Previously Rumored?

TECH NEWS — Samsung is also aiming to lead the foldable category and has no intention of stepping away from this segment.

Samsung is focusing on innovating in functionality while refining the form factor of its devices. Last year, the South Korean tech giant failed to impress with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 models, as many users were underwhelmed by the incremental upgrades. Now, the company is preparing to bounce back with the upcoming foldable models. The rumor mill surrounding the Z Fold 7 is heating up, and a new leak suggests that the latest model will sport significantly thinner bezels.

Samsung’s upcoming foldable models have been in the spotlight for some time, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is garnering particular attention for its slimmer build and more polished design. It seems the company is intent on making major hardware upgrades. The latest leak points to a dramatic reduction in the size of the inner display bezels, which would significantly boost the device’s visual appeal.

Thinner bezels won’t be the only improvement. Reports suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 7 itself may be exceptionally thin and could set a new standard for the foldable phone market. More and more details are emerging about the upcoming lineup, and the newest leak gives the clearest picture yet of what to expect this year.

According to well-known leaker Ice Universe, the bezels around the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s internal display have been slimmed down to just 1 mm. This leak aligns with earlier speculation that the Z Fold 7 will be an ultra-thin device. Compared to the previous model’s 1.9 mm bezels, this would be a dramatic reduction — and one that would greatly enhance both the look and ergonomics of the phone.

Samsung is also taking things a step further with the Z Flip 7, reportedly reducing the outer display bezel to just 1.2 mm. The company’s goal is to improve the display experience and elevate the premium feel of the device — though, for now, nothing has been officially confirmed.
