BOMBSHELL! Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is not only real, but it’s arrived with a jaw-dropping trailer, promising to unleash absolute madness. The FPS now takes you to 2035, where a new threat and mind-blowing graphics set the stage – plus, a cooperative campaign mode is on the way.
There’s another Call of Duty on the horizon! After Black Ops 6 shattered records, Microsoft and Activision are doubling down with their most popular franchise’s newest chapter. Even before The Outer Worlds 2 showcase began, Xbox Games Showcase 2025 dropped the bomb: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is official, and it’s designed to make you “embrace the madness”—this time, with a cooperative campaign mode. The official CoD site confirms releases for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.
The developers—Treyarch and Raven Software—are going all-in with hyperrealistic visuals and a sci-fi look, plunging players into 2035. “David Mason leads the Black Ops team against a manipulative enemy that uses fear as its weapon above all else,” Xbox Wire reports. Series fans will get to continue the stories set up by Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6.
“It’s 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by conflict and psychological warfare after the events of Black Ops 2 and 6. Armed with cutting-edge tech, the Black Ops team led by David Mason must face an enemy that wields fear above all else.” You can play cooperatively in campaign mode, jump into multiplayer with new maps, and plunge into the next twisted Zombies chapter deep in the Dark Aether.
According to Variety, several actors have already been confirmed for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign. Matt Cox, General Manager of Call of Duty, said: “The Black Ops universe is incredible. Its story, character depth, and gameplay create unforgettable moments in every mode. From day one, our vision has been to create an experience that truly embodies everything Black Ops is about. We’re delivering the full Call of Duty experience to all our players.”
