[XGS 2025] Gears of War: Reloaded: The Weekend Beta Tests Are Coming! [VIDEO]

Before launching, The Coalition, Sumo Digital, and Disbelief want to test the stability of the multiplayer modes.

The first beta weekend will take place from June 13 to 15 (9 PM to 9 PM CEST), with Team Deathmatch available on three maps: Gridlock, Raven Down, and Gold Rush. The second weekend is set for June 20 to 22 (again, 9 PM to 9 PM CEST). This time, King of the Hill mode will be on Canalis, and Team Deathmatch will feature Courtyard and War Machine. To access the beta, simply pre-order Gears of War: Reloaded, have an active PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, or own Gears of War: Ultimate Edition digitally.

Gears of War: Reloaded delivers 4K visuals and 120 FPS, along with great multiplayer thanks to cross-progression and cross-play. You can play with friends across platforms and pick up exactly where you left off. Originally launched in 2006, Gears of War: Reloaded now returns fully remastered for the latest hardware, across more platforms, introducing the franchise to a new generation. The Reloaded edition includes all Ultimate Edition content, making it the most complete version of the original game to date. Players instantly unlock all post-launch DLC at no extra cost, including a bonus campaign chapter, every multiplayer map and mode, and a complete roster of classic characters and cosmetics, all earned through progression.

Gears of War: Reloaded is built for co-op – whether you’re playing local split-screen or online. The campaign supports two-player co-op, while Versus multiplayer supports up to eight players. Thanks to cross-play, you can team up on any platform, no Microsoft account required. Signing in with a Microsoft account, however, unlocks the full cross-platform experience, allowing you to sync progress between devices and send invites across platforms—such as Xbox to PlayStation or Steam to Xbox.

Gears of War: Reloaded launches August 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store).
