It’s still unclear whether Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive will be a new paid version of the existing free-to-play game or an entirely new title, as Netmarble hasn’t clarified this yet.
The global phenomenon Solo Leveling, with over 14.3 billion webtoon views, is now making its move into the action RPG genre. Guide our hero from his humble E-Rank beginnings and fight to become the Monarch of Shadows through high-stakes solo combat and four-player cooperative raids. Bringing the webtoon’s world to life, Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive lets you step right into the action and shape the story yourself.
Join Sung Jinwoo’s journey to become the world’s most powerful hunter. Immerse yourself in the original webtoon’s storyline and dive into exclusive new adventures created just for the game. Enjoy dynamic, beautifully animated battles that evolve with your weapon and skill choices. Evade monster attacks with Extreme Evasion, then retaliate with a powerful counter using the perfect parry. Customize your own unique combat style through a branching skill tree with eight different job advancements.
Dominate the battlefield with special powers unlocked through Monarch’s Awakening. Witness Sung Jinwoo’s transformation into the ultimate Monarch of Shadows as he succeeds Ashborn, with his growth system adapting to every fight. Take down colossal Commanders in intense cooperative raids, whether you fight as Jinwoo himself or as a team of other hunters. Defeat monsters out in the field and use their loot to craft new weapons, including powerful gear from the webtoon like Kasaka’s Venom Fang and the Demon King’s Daggers.
This cooperative action RPG, developed by Netmarble Neo, supports up to four players and will launch first on PC via the Microsoft Store this fall. Console versions are also planned, but for now, all we know is the Xbox Series version will land sometime in 2026. Oddly enough, the game won’t be appearing on Steam—only on the Microsoft Store. Who can explain that?
