Tabletop success led to a tidal wave of spin-offs: video games, novels, comics, and now, finally, Hollywood’s calling. In 2022, it was official: Henry Cavill, superfan and star, would headline and executive produce a live-action TV series for Amazon. Posting on Instagram, Cavill said: “For 30 years I have dreamt of seeing a Warhammer universe in live action. Now, after 22 years of experience in this industry, I finally feel that I have the skill set and experience to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life.”

In 2022, his long campaign paid off, as Amazon greenlit a new saga with Vertigo Entertainment and Games Workshop’s Andy Smillie and Max Bottrill joining as executive producers.
