Taylor-Johnson’s Cryptic Answer Sets Off Bond Frenzy – Did 007 Just Reveal Himself?

MOVIE NEWS – The new James Bond may have just given himself away with a suspicious five-word answer to a simple question—at least, that’s what 007 fans think. For months, speculation has run wild about who will replace Daniel Craig in Amazon’s Bond reboot, and now, one favorite may have just blown his own cover.

When asked what’s next after the long-awaited 28 Years Later premiere, Aaron Taylor-Johnson gave a cryptic reply: “I can’t talk about it.” Then he was whisked away. The actor—famous for Kick-Ass, Bullet Train, and Kraven the Hunter—has long been a bookies’ favorite for Bond. Now, fans are convinced: this kind of secrecy can only mean one thing—Taylor-Johnson is the next 007.

Speculation exploded on X (formerly Twitter): “I wonder how he likes his martinis?” mused one user. Another posted, “it’s time”, with a classic Pierce Brosnan barrel shot. “Bond. James Bond.” added someone else, while another theorized: “He’ll be Bond, Nolan will direct, it’ll be a period piece like the original books, and they’ll ditch all the digital gadgets for old-school spy tech.”

Is Aaron Taylor-Johnson the Next Bond?

Taylor-Johnson’s not just got Pierce Brosnan’s blessing—he’s also fueling rumors after reportedly signing a deal with Omega, the official Bond watch brand. Official confirmation is still missing, but with Amazon pushing the project forward and aiming to shoot next year, it won’t be long until we know who inherits the tuxedo from Daniel Craig.

Meanwhile, Taylor-Johnson is proving his leading-man credentials in 28 Years Later, the zombie sequel following 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007). Directed by Danny Boyle and co-written with Alex Garland, the film stars Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Edvin Ryding. MovieWeb’s Julian Roman raved that it’s “a Horror Masterpiece that Shatters Already High Expectations.”
