World Of Tanks: Heat: We’ll Be Back In The Tanks Soon [VIDEO]

The game, which can most simply be described as a tank game, will soon receive a sequel from Wargaming.

World of Tanks: Heat is built from the ground up on a new, proprietary engine developed in-house by Wargaming. This technology delivers modern visuals and immersive environments, enabling fast, responsive gameplay optimized for smooth performance across a wide range of hardware.

At launch, players can expect eight agents with three battlefield roles: Defender, Assault, and Marksman. Each agent commands a lethal two-vehicle roster, with each vehicle tailored to its role in combat. Players can also expect fifteen vehicles, each of which supports a different playstyle and can be fully customized with modules and equipment. Whether holding the front line or striking from a distance, there’s a tank ready for the job. There will be eight maps, and the battlefields will span a wide range of biomes, settings, and visual styles. Each map is designed to support multiple playstyles across game modes. There will be four PvP modes: Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, and Conquest.

World of Tanks: Heat will be available on PC via the Wargaming Game Center and Steam, as well as on the Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nvidia GeForce Now. The game will support full cross-platform play and progression. This means we’ll have an account that lets us log in and continue playing anywhere, so we can start a session on a PC and then pick up where we left off on a Steam Deck while on the go. This feature makes the free-to-play game highly accessible. Set in an alternate timeline after World War II, World of Tanks: Heat is a game of strategy and tactics.

World of Tanks is approaching its sixteenth anniversary. It was first released on PC in CIS countries in August 2010. Due to its popularity, it became available worldwide in April 2011. It was then released on the Xbox 360 in February 2014, the Xbox One in July 2015, the PlayStation 4 in January 2016, the Nintendo Switch in August 2020, and the PlayStation 5 in October 2021.

World of Tanks: Heat is coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on May 26.
