Is the end of the world approaching? A cult might help us survive it, but first we have to survive a few things ourselves.

Have we ever dreamed of starting our own cult? Now we can do it – comfortably, from home. Imagine the respect surrounding us as an up-and-coming cult leader. Issue strange teachings to our followers, expand our territory, and build an operational base. Make sacrifices and keep an eye on our growing stockpile of military-grade weapons. In this sandbox survival game, our most valuable resource is not stone or wood, but people.

Every character in the world, from civilians to enemies, can become a potential member of our growing cult. Through propaganda, managing bad reputation, and making our cult worthy of joining, we can turn the game world into our own follower farm. Once a new follower joins our flock, we can put them to work, control them, or make use of their support during missions. Each follower has strengths and weaknesses, and it is best to use them according to their abilities – as peasants, speakers, doctors, and so on. Followers are our most important resources, but also the most unstable. If we do not keep them happy, they leave the cult. And remember: a cult leader without followers is just a lonely weirdo.

It would not be a real cult if our friends could not join it. Join Us supports cooperative play for up to four players. Work together to build the cult of our dreams and crush anyone who stands against us. The fate of the world depends on it. Build our cult base from nothing, design buildings and defenses, manage resources, assign followers to work, and shape our own headquarters. Every great cult begins with a great base.

Create a unique belief system so our followers can make it the center of their lives. What are we interested in? UFOs? Cannibalism? Intermittent fasting? All of the above? Maybe we just want to hang out in the drum circle and beat out a cool rhythm. The choice is ours, but choose wisely – once we convince our followers of a belief, we have to live with the consequences. For some reason, people do not like having our radical lifestyle forced on them. Locals, police, and the government will try to put an end to our fun. Defend ourselves with a wide range of weapons, from shotguns and miniguns to snake launchers, which are weapons that fire live snakes, but be careful. Join Us uses a permadeath system – if a character dies, they stay dead forever, unless they become a ghost.

Developed by Wolf Haus Games, Join Us will be released in March for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The console versions have now been announced, and the game will also be available through Xbox Game Pass.
