The Blood of Dawnwalker: Good News for PC Gamers!

The developers have shared more information about their upcoming game, which is expected to be a major release this fall.

Although The Blood of Dawnwalker is being developed by former CD Projekt RED employees, that does not mean the Rebel Wolves development team will carry over every element of The Witcher games into its new open-world RPG. The developers have confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will not feature the minigames for which The Witcher series is famous. They shared this information and more during a recent Q&A session on Instagram.

When asked if there would be minigames in The Blood of Dawnwalker, the developers clearly answered “no,” dispelling that assumption. Sorry, Gwent fans—there won’t be anything like that in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Another question asked if there would be hidden quests, secrets, and similar elements scattered throughout the open world for players to discover. Rebel Wolves replied that there will be hidden treasures, monster lairs, ancient ruins, bandit camps, and much more. Hopefully, this means there will be plenty of Easter eggs and secrets in the game, which will significantly increase its replay value.

Finally, the developers shared some news that is sure to delight PC gamers: the game will not use Denuvo. When asked about it, the developers responded with a firm “no.” This is good news, given that this anti-piracy tool is typically responsible for games consuming a lot of memory while running, taking longer to launch, and putting a heavier load on the system. So far, The Blood of Dawnwalker looks like it will be the ideal new action RPG series. We hope it will live up to expectations. Rebel Wolves previously confirmed that the game will feature multiple epilogues that will set the stage for planned sequels. The developers are also planning to release several smaller, free DLCs after launch.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is set to release on September 3 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
