Square Enix pulled a surprising move off during last year’s E3 when they announced NieR‘s sequel called NieR: Automata. This game is a cooperation between SE and PlatinumGames. The latest video doesn’t have any new gameplay or details. Instead, it shows a very kind and honorable gesture by the publisher to express their gratitude for the interest for NieR: Automata.
On YouTube, it’s common to see reaction videos about new game announcements. This is what this German gentleman named Robin did. He was ecstatic to see Yoko Taro‘s name show up in the trailer (he worked on Drakengard and the first NieR game as well), which was, even more, joyful when NieR was written on the screen. This video is being watched by Yosuke Saito (the game’s producer) and Yoko Taro (who returns as the director), who are surprisingly accompanied by Robin. This trailer shows that big publishers can still have a human face, even if it’s not shown regularly!
NieR Automata doesn’t have an exact release date as of now, but it’s a PlayStation 4-exclusive.
