WWE 2K22: Did WWE Management Seriously Cut Bray Wyatt Out Of The Game?!

Following Bray Wyatt’s departure from WWE, the company wanted to cut the widely popular superstar from WWE 2K22 before its release.

The list of superstars in WWE 2K22 continues to grow with the release of new DLC packs. Several of the superstars featured in the game are no longer members of WWE, with one of them apparently being removed from the game before launch on the orders of the federation.

The Stand Back Pack for WWE 2K22 was recently released on June 7 and featured WWE’s well-known superstars Hurricane Helms, Stacy Keibler, A-Kid and Wes Lee.

Nash Carter was initially featured in the Stand Back Pack with M2K tag team partner Wes Lee. However, Nash Carter was fired from WWE after his ex-wife Kimber Lee made abuse allegations against him. As a result, Nash Carter was removed from the Stand Back Pack. In exchange for Nash Carter’s removal, bonus MyFACTION cards were offered to Booker T and Seth Rollins.

Bray Wyatt, who originally appeared in WWE 2K22, is one of the most popular superstars to ever step into a WWE ring.

However, Bray Wyatt left WWE in July 2021 and was removed from the game’s roster before its release. According to a new Fightful Select report, WWE specifically wanted to remove Bray Wyatt from the roster after he was released from the company. Coincidentally, Wyatt was the only superstar to be removed from WWE 2K22 before its March release. Further details about the reason for Bray Wyatt’s removal are anyone’s guess at this point.

In the year leading up to the release of WWE 2K22, several superstars such as Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Ember Moon appeared. Fightful Select reports that some superstars were surprised to be in the game after leaving WWE. Moreover, some of them were not explicitly told about their appearance in the game while they were working in WWE. At the time, WWE told superstars to “expect something” later in the year, which could have been a reference to pay and exposure on the program.

Bray Wyatt remains an enigma among wrestlers and one of the most beloved in WWE.

Many are anxiously awaiting Bray Wyatt’s return to the world of professional wrestling. During the wait, fans have been using the WWE 2K22 Community Creations feature to create and share custom versions of the wrestler. Although Bray Wyatt is no longer with WWE, WWE 2K22 Community Creations allows for some alternatives in his absence.

As for the game, it is becoming a significant financial success for WWE and 2K. More DLC packs are coming soon, including the Clowning Around Pack. The Clowning Around Pack will be released on June 28 and will add WWE superstars Doink the Clown, Ronda Rousey, The British Bulldog, Mr. T, Doudrop and Rick Boogs to the WWE roster.

WWE 2K22 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
