The latest Cyberpunk 2077 patch ensures you’ll see fewer boobs – but at least you’ll get better graphics & performance.
The fresh patch for Cyberpunk 2077 aims to prevent players from accidentally blinking. After many useful fixes, this time, CD Projekt Red is trying to keep V’s boobs in check.
A little background – if there’s a story that needs a quick recap, this is probably it.
Back in December 2020, players of Cyberpunk 2077 discovered a fascinating glitch that caused the main character V to flash her bum, but in a way that all of Night City could see.
This happened around the time CDPR officially apologised for the deplorable state of the game at launch. A promise was made to continue to fight bugs and performance issues. Well, it’s been nearly two years since then, and the developers are still working on getting the intimate parts of V under control.
The latest patch for Cyberpunk 2077, version 1.61, fixes many bugs that have plagued the game. It also brings the FSR support many AMD-preferring users have been waiting for.
FSR is AMD’s rival to Nvidia’s much-touted DLSS technology, which uses artificial intelligence to scale up the resolution of PC games.
This allows gamers to achieve higher graphics settings and better system frame rates. Unlike DLSS, FSR does not use machine learning in its upscaling algorithm.
Theoretically, adding FSR 2.1 support to Cyberpunk 2077 would mean the game could render at lower resolutions. This improves frame rates. You can then use FSR to scale the game up to a higher resolution, with results that are barely different from the native resolution.
Back to the funny bug: “Fixed the issue where V’s breasts clipped through clothes after changing their size at a Ripperdoc,” reads a line in the patch notes.
Let me explain if you’re still as confused as when you started reading this story. In Cyberpunk 2077, you can visit one of Night City’s Ripperdocs to have different parts of your cyber body transformed. These services include breast augmentation. There was, however, a bug that exposed V’s breasts despite the character being fully clothed, and that’s what’s being fixed today.
Cyberpunk 2077 has recently been back in the spotlight after the highly successful anime adaptation, which unfortunately will not get a second season, as well as the announcement of the Phantom Liberty add-on and a full-fledged sequel codenamed Project Orion.
