Final Fantasy VII: Full-Fledged Episodes!

We already knew that Final Fantasy VII‘s remake will be available in an episodic format. However, Square Enix hasn’t really mentioned so far that how they plan to formulate the PS1 classic into episodes. They won’t follow the style of say, the recent Hitman reboot, instead…

…they will take Final Fantasy XIII as the example. The details were mentioned in Game Informer by the game’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase. He admits that the episodes will be all as full-fledged games, which probably means each episode would be available for sixty dollars apiece.

Kitase also says that because they already have a complete story in their hands, they can expand on multiple details. However, they do not want to change everything down to the ground and they would keep certain points and events as seen in the original 19 years ago.

Let’s hope that Square Enix will reveal at least the first episode’s release date (window) during E3…
