Remedy: „We Might Consider Multiplayer!”

Remedy launched their latest game, Quantum Break, on Tuesday on PC and Xbox One. Of course, the questions are now about the Finland-based dev team’s future. They have some ideas already!

Sam Lake, creative director, has shown up on the latest Major Nelson podcast, and he shared a few thoughts about Remedy‘s plans. They wouldn’t rule out an addition of multiplayer modes for their next game, so we might not have to play alone. Lake also mentioned Quantum Break. He says that they will decide whether they will make a sequel or not based on the sales that the first game can achieve. (At least, they didn’t do a cliffhanger ending – we’re looking at you, The Order 1886…)

As Remedy‘s recent games (Quantum Break, Alan Wake, Max Payne 1-2) all focused on single player experience, we would be intrigued to see what the team can show in multiplayer.

Of course, these comments doesn’t mean a lot now, but they can be considered as possible ideas.
