A New Writer For The Uncharted Movie

Uncharted. Its games are outstanding, but its film adaptation? Well, that has been in development hell for seven years already…

Uncharted‘s cinematic adaptation has been in progress since 2009, but it keeps getting delayed for multiple reasons. A new writer has joined the project, his name is Joe Carnahan. Carnahan has been responsible for the directorial/writing/producing for 2010’s A-Team, as well as 2013’s The Grey, just to name two of his recent works. For Carnahan, entering the world of Nathan Drake is a dream coming true.

The movie, which is a co-production between Arad and Atlas Entertainment, has four producers: Avi Arad, Ari Arad, Charles Roven, and Alex Gartner, and Sony‘s Jonathan Kadin acts as the supervisor of the project.

The release date is still tentatively set to June 30, 2017, but it’s likely to see Uncharted receive yet another delay. Will this film EVER be completed?
