THQ Is Back, It Seems

THQ, as a publisher, has gone out of business over three years ago. However, one of the companies that bought some of its licenses and IPs decided to bring the name back from the grave!

Nordic Games, a publisher formed in 2008 in Sweden, bought the DarkSiders license, has made an updated version of the second title with the first one coming shortly as well. Meanwhile, Nordic reincorporated itself to THQ Nordic.

With this move, they want to step a level higher. According to their official, yet somewhat hilarious press statement, they have 23 games in development, and 13 out of these aren’t announced yet! Most of these are built on THQ’s IPs and franchises, so one of the games is likely DarkSiders 3 because that story is far from over.

It’s time for us to get used to the THQ name again. Hopefully, THQ Nordic will continue to impress us with their quality to be worthy of picking up that three-letter brand name.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
