Peter Molyneux Would Work On Fable 4

Fable‘s creator would gladly begin work on the fourth numbered Fable installment.

In his interview with the Official Xbox Magazine, Molyneux said the following: „It’s crazy that Fable IV isn’t being made. I would love to do Fable IV, and the studio tried to do it. You’d have to get the original team back together, though.”

He also admitted that his and Lionhead‘s sense of humor caused a bit of trouble with Microsoft. Molyneux called it „politically incorrect,” and this is why you can see prostitution in Fable, as well as same-sex marriage. He also named the phallic-looking totems in Black & White, all designed by Mark Healy, designer at Leonhead, as an example.

The Fable IP is held by Microsoft, and it doesn’t have bright days ahead. Lionhead was closed down during the development of Fable Legends, which also got canceled. The team couldn’t continue work as an independent group. If Molyneux ends up returning to his creation, we wonder how many things will be left out from the final game after the initial promises…
