Nintendo: 4K? Limited Audience!

The big N doesn’t think 4K is important yet.

Reggie Fils-Aime, the American Nintendo president, told The Verge that there isn’t a big audience yet that wants their games to be played on a 4K resolution. Instead, the big N wants to reach out to as many people as possible (and their budget 3DS, the 2DS, without the 3D capabilities, is a good idea for that approach). That means they will stick to 1080p (and 720p in portable mode) on the Nintendo Switch.

He also told Waypoint that they still have multiple Switch announcements for this year. Seeing how the Switch continues to sell weekly in five digit figures that the PS4 couldn’t do after roughly three months, planning seems to be a good idea.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
