PlayStation Experience 2017 – Days Gone: Will It Launch In 2018?

Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios, talked about SIE Bend Studio’s game.

Yoshida broke the trend: until now, we heard release windows and release dates by the developers and not a Sony executive, but he confirmed that the PlayStation 4-exclusive, which is internally playable from start to finish (but not at the PlayStation Experience), will be available from 2018.

Currently, the development is in the phase where SIE Bend (formerly Eidetic – Bubsy 3D, Syphon Filter) is fine-tuning, polishing, tweaking Days Gone, while its playtesting is also happening to find bugs. Although it is an action game, where players can approach each situation difference, there will be a big focus on storytelling as well.

Yoshida also confirmed that there’s no need to fear that The Last of Us Part II will be similar to Days Gone, as he considers these games to be significantly different from each other. We’ll see about that… next year.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
