That sounds like a little bold, doesn’t it?
Cory Barlog, the game’s director, regularly answers fans’ questions. One of them was about challenges or other game modes outside of the story. His answer was a short „Yes.” He also confirmed that we’d have multiple save slots, but don’t forget that the hardest difficulty level will use its unique save slot – we previously wrote about it. We can also bid adieu to the sex mini-game, as it got another short response: „No.”
Barlog also reacted to the critiques towards the game (which we are already playing a lot – we cannot say anything more at the moment, or Sony would hire a hitman to get rid of us!) on Kotaku. He says that we should give the game a chance before we judge it, and he added that Sony intentionally held back a lot about God of War so that we can „experience it as a whole.”
„I know there are a lot of people who are out there saying, ‘It’s different. They’re changing a lot of things. Hashtag Not My God Of War. Hashtag Cancel My Pre-Order,’ but I think a lot of people have to play it. We’ve been very restrictive with the information and what we’re showing visually, and part of that is my paranoia. I want people to experience this game as a whole. Everybody who made this game–or a good portion of this team–has been a part of God of War from the very beginning. Nothing has changed cynically or under pressure or willy-nilly. All of us put a lot of heart and soul into this game, and the DNA of what this franchise is still pumps through the blood of this game,” Barlog said.
God of War will launch in two weeks – on April 20 – on PlayStation 4. Barlog told GamesRadar that the game needed 43 (forty-three!) hours to 100% complete it!
