Hip-hop and wrestling – the Def Jam franchise offered a mixture of these two elements in the past… and it might continue shortly.

Def Jam Vendetta might have been the series’ biggest game on PlayStation 2 and GameCube in the Spring of 2003, but 2004’s Def Jam: Fight For NY wasn’t too shabby either on PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox.

Now, the Def Jam label’s Twitter asked a simple but to-the-point question: „HYPOTHETICALLY, who’d you like to see on the cover if this game made a comeback?” – and they included a Def Jam Vendetta box art with the PlayStation 4 logo at the top.

Behind the hypothetical question, there has to be some effort, which means they are probably in talks with Sony, or there might be a possible PlayStation 4 remake in development for Def Jam Vendetta. It’d be a refreshing addition to the PS4‘s line-up if it happened.

We’d appreciate a new Def Jam, too, but that might be too much to ask…
