Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood: The Reveal Trailer [VIDEO]

The werewolf that has been lurking in the shadows for the past nearly three years finally got its first video. About time it happened.

Let’s recap: the game was initially announced as Werewolf: The Apocalypse in January 2017. (We wrote about it.) Back then, Cyanide (Call of Cthulhu, Styx: Shards of Darkness, Styx: Master of Shadows, Blood Bowl II, etc.) would have had Focus Home Interactive for the publishing role. Going almost two years (!?) ahead, in November 2018, Bigben Interactive announces (and we wrote about this, too) that they acquired the publishing rights of the game, which was called Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood by then. (THey acquired Cyanide in May that year.)

Now, we’re at this year’s PDXCON, as the game is set in Paradox Interactive’s World of Darkness. The same applies for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 as well (we wrote about how that game got delayed the other day). We got a trailer, which got this description: „With his former pack in danger, Cahal returns to find Endron, the energy arm of Pentex, installing an extraction site and destroying the forest around his Caern.” Check out the video for the rest.

It’s going to be an action RPG adaptation of the original role-playing game, featuring Cahal, who will attack anyone who dares to corrupt Gaia (or Mother Earth). (If you thought about Captain Planet, well… you’re not alone?!) Pentex is a powerful corporation whose activities are upsetting the balance of nature.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is planned to launch in 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but seeing how the game has been way too silent, we think the game will get delayed to 2021, and with that, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Project Scarlett will get the game, too.
