The Last of Us 2 is still in focus: who are the women that Abby’s character has been based on?

Laura Bailey, Jocelyn Mettler and Colleen Fotsch have managed to give this key character personality and strength.

One of the most important characters in The Last of Us: Part II, Abby, is generating a great controversy among the players, getting many to adore her and others to detest her. Before continuing, we warn you that this news contains some spoilers about the course of the title, so if you have not completed it, we recommend that you do not continue reading. Before the launch, few expected to meet the story of Abby and less with its great gameplay, now there are many who want to know more about the character who has come to stay within the imaginary of the industry.

We all know that Ashley Johnson is in charge of giving Ellie mobility and expression during the first two games of the franchise, but the question that now arises is: who plays Abby, including her face model, her body double and her voice actress? Well, we have an answer for this and the three chosen have managed to shape a strong woman with enough personality to endure the second half of the game.

Abigail Anderson is portrayed by noted Laura Bailey, known for her work as Vex in the Dungeons & Dragons series and as Nadine Ross in Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, also by Naughty Dog. In addition to the voice, the actress provided the facial and movement capture of the character, although the face was by other paths: Jocelyn Mettler, a supportive visual effects artist, served as a face model while in the company.

Despite playing a big role in The Last of Us 2 story, Abby didn’t appear in much of the pre-launch marketing. Following his first appearance in the 2017 trailer, Neil Druckmann posted the Instagram image of CrossFit athlete Colleen Fotsch stating that she had been twice Abby’s body. Now her imposing complexion and profuse musculature are better understood.

The current title of Naughty Dog continues unstoppable in terms of sales, becoming the most profitable PlayStation 4 exclusive. In addition, little by little new details are revealed after its development such as the scenes that were removed that could have given rise to a very different story or where exactly the whistling language used by the Seraphites throughout the video game came from.
