Xbox Game Pass improves without a price increase and will soon add free Project xCloud cloud game

Phil Spencer talks about his work philosophy: “On Xbox, players come first.”

The head of Xbox has spoken about the philosophy that has guided his team in bringing Xbox Series X to life, making the player the centre of the entire experience; always seeking to fulfil their wishes however difficult they may seem. Some time ago they already highlighted the importance of backwards compatibility on Xbox or the commitment to such interesting options as the fantastic Smart Delivery, and today Phil Spencer has gone one step further confirming that his ambitious streaming game service Project xCloud will be integrated into the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription starting next September.

In this way, those who pay the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will have access to the entire catalogue of games of this service on PC and Xbox One, in addition to enjoying the online options of Xbox Live Gold, and the aforementioned Project xCloud, which It allows you to play titles like Forza Horizon 4, Devil May Cry 5 or Halo 5: Guardians among many others on mobile devices. Something that we already talked about in our impressions of Project xCloud.

“With our cloud service in Game Pass Ultimate, you can play over 100 Xbox Game Pass video games on your phone or tablet,” says Phil Spencer. “And because Xbox Live connects to all devices, you can play alongside over 100 million Xbox Live players worldwide. So when Halo Infinite debuts, you and your friends can play together anywhere and through from any device. ” The head of Xbox has also had an impact on an idea that he pointed out days ago, and is the defence of multiplatform games.

“We want all Xbox players to play all the new games from Xbox Game Studios,” says the manager. “That is why our games that will be released over the next couple of years – like Halo Infinite – will be available and playable on Xbox Series X and Xbox One. We don’t want to force anyone to leap over Xbox Series X to play exclusive Xbox games. ” This commitment to giving more options and content to players is represented by full backward compatibility with all generations of Xbox. “This leaves us with the most games at the launch of a new console in history, with thousands of titles ready to be players.”

Finally, Spencer has spoken about toxicity in the gaming community. “We are building Xbox for you, gamers from all walks of life, from anywhere in the world. We want the Xbox community to be safe, accessible and welcoming; a place where you can have fun,” says the manager. That is why at Microsoft they will fight against “racism, discrimination and hatred in all forms”. None of this “has a place on Xbox”, and that is why it invites fans who suffer harassment, to report it on Xbox, since there is a team in charge of ensuring the safety of players every day of the year, at any time.

“And we continue to accelerate new technologies to reduce hate and toxicity, giving you the tools to create a safe gaming community that you want to be in,” adds Spencer. Besides, Xbox will encourage developers to “create more diverse stories,” advocating for “more authentic and respectful representation in games, and advocating for accessibility for everyone to play.” We remind you that there are only a few days left to see the next great releases of the console in the long-awaited digital event of Xbox Series X, which among other things will allow us to see the Halo Infinite campaign.
