The NBA season is delayed due to the coronavirus and the Play-Offs are still being played, at the same time that the draft picks have already been drawn. But in the virtual world, 2K Sports is already fully involved in the new course, and they have presented the numerous novelties of the My Team section of NBA 2K21, one of the greatest attractions of each new instalment of the renowned basketball simulator that recently showed its first gameplay.

2K has announced the main changes to My Team, showing that it has worked hard in this section to offer new features that satisfy fans of the franchise.

Among the most outstanding points we find the following:

  • New Seasons in NBA 2K21. The Seasons will bring new content and new ways to play throughout the year. They are free for everyone, they do not involve any payment component.
  • Badge customization and customizable evolutions. Badges are back allowing you to upgrade and apply badges to players from Bronze to Hall of Fame. Evolution cards now branch out, and so you can control how you want to improve your cards.
  • New Limited Mode / Unlimited Mode 2.0. Limited is a game mode available from Friday to Sunday with new rules every weekend, where each player has a chance to win Champion Rings. A new ring will be available every weekend; Earn all the Season rings to unlock the best Limited rewards. In addition, the Unlimited Mode will be renewed, consisting of 9 Leagues that you will have to overcome to reach the top.
  • The Exchange. Now you can exchange cards that you are not using for cards that will become essential in your starting quintet.
  • Idol Series Collection includes some of the NBA’s most memorable players, featuring stars from the past and present. The collection will consist of 15 cards and will debut in September with a first Pink Diamond.

In addition, from 2K they have confirmed that all the progress, collection and cards that we obtain in NBA 2K21, we can transfer it to the new generation consoles as long as they are from the same family. That is, from PS4 to PS5 and from Xbox One to Xbox Series X.

You will soon be able to try a free demo to see first-hand what NBA 2K21 will offer on current systems.

The NBA 2K21 will arrive on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia on September 4th.
