Are Two Silent Hill Games In Development? Imran Khan Thinks Yes!

Kinda Funny podcast’s host, Imran Khan (who formerly was an editor at the Game Informer magazine) believes the recent rumours.

In the past six or so months, we have heard a lot about Silent Hill, but in the end, Sony hasn’t confirmed anything. If we had to quickly recap: there’s a Silent Hill soft reboot in development at Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio with several former key Team Silent members involved, and there’s the Silent Hills concept that might have been revived… the later would be in development at Kojima Productions, who – under Konami in their previous guise – worked on this game before Hideo Kojima’s views differed from the Japanese publisher’s, which is why they parted ways.

„I think the rumours are credible and I know that the people who are rumoured to be involved in Silent Hill are working on something. If Sony’s also making a Silent Hill – which we don’t know that they are, those are just rumours – I would assume that Sony’s not part of [Kojima’s project] if they’re making a separate, Silent Hill-like game, but who knows? The industry’s been weirder than that,” Khan said during a recent Kinda Funny Gamecast.

We can’t recall anything weird that happened recently, but we’re getting old. Still, keep in mind that Khan is merely speculating. However, he seems to know a thing or two due to his past, so he is also credible. Also, Kojima Productions continue to deny such rumours (even though in the Spring, they tweeted images with Silent Hill hints, and we wrote about this…). Konami also shut down rumours (we discussed that as well).

If we think of Konami, we can only recall pachinko machines and the random PC releases on GOG of older games. If there are two Silent Hill games in development, that could be nice.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
