The Infamous Scalping Group Is Now Targetting The Xbox Series And The Christmas Stocks

CrepChiefNotify doesn’t want to get filthy rich by just scalping the PlayStation 5 – they now put their dirty hands on the Xbox Series X.

We previously talked about this group who got a hold of several thousand PlayStation 5s via their scripts, meaning whenever new stock arrived, they almost immediately acquired all of them, giving them a chance to resell these consoles for double, or even triple the original price to the unfortunate but desperate customers. Unfortunately, now Microsoft is in their crosshairs, too…

VGC reports that the group didn’t publicly reveal which site got them acquiring all of the consoles, but an anonymous source told them that it’s Very.co.uk, an online retailer. „We just notified our members of an Xbox Series X restock on a very well known online retailer. They have now managed to secure over 1000+ today and there are still many hours left. You snooze you lose,” CrepChiefNotify announced via its social media channels.

However, neither the console manufacturers nor the retailers have taken any measures to prevent them from acquiring all the consoles, allowing them to get even more of a stronghold on the hardware. And seeing how PlayStation’s official Twitter announced that they will restock the PlayStation 5 towards the end of the year and they responded saying it’s great news (for them… not for us), we can expect them to be a nuisance for the next few months…

The group defended its actions, stating that a lot of its members have been able to put food on the table by reselling the consoles. But they blocked the people who honestly put together the money for a new console throughout the year (or those who simply wanted to buy one as a gift for their family members or children…) out from experiencing the next-gen hardware.

When will the manufacturers or retailers do anything?
