Tetris Effect: Connected – coming to Switch on 8 October

There will be a discount for first-time Tetris Effect buyers.

Enhance Games will release Tetris Effect: Connected on Switch via Nintendo eShop on 8 October, the developer announced. The game will be available at a 25% discounted price for the first two weeks of release through this platform.

Tetris Effect: Connected is currently available for Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via the Epic Games Store, and Oculus Quest. The PC version will also launch via Steam on 18 August.

Here’s an overview of the game, courtesy of Enhance Games:

The game has been extensively redesigned and optimized for the Switch system, retaining all of its audiovisual splendour whether played in TV, Tabletop or Handheld mode, and includes all 30+ maps and 10+ game modes for single-player play, as well as full cooperative or competitive cross-platform multiplayer (requires Nintendo Switch Online membership) with all other versions of the game released or updated on 18 August, including PS4, Xbox, Microsoft Store PC, Steam, Epic Games Store and Oculus Quest.

Tetris has won more than 80 awards, including the overall Game of the Year award, as well as dozens of accolades for its stunning visuals and eclectic soundtrack. The Connected Switch version allows players to access the hypnotic experience anytime – whether in single-player or multiplayer mode, online via Wi-Fi, or locally on the same screen with up to four Joy-Con controllers. The game could prove to be an excellent showpiece for the OLED model’s more significant, more vibrant screen, as well as improved speakers.
