Total War: Warhammer III – Delayed Until 2022

Delays are upon us, it seems, as one of 2021’s high profile Turn-Based Strategy games aka. Total War: Warhammer III has been hit with a delay, and will now be released next year

Creative Assembly has announced today that while they are working day in and night on the finale of the Trilogy, they need more time to polish the final product. Unfortunately, people wanting to get their hands on the new forces of Chaos will have to wait until 2022.

The developers promise more updates will be provided until then, and no exact release date has been provided for 2022. Still, they have confirmed that the global reveal for one of the latest factions named Grand Cathay – based on Ancient China, will be revealed, plus further information about battles and sieges will be provided soon, which are also getting an update.

Total Warhammer has been going on for nearly ten years. It is one of the biggest games ever from Creative Assembly, with constant free updates, paid DLCs, and the ability to play all factions on the latest map is no wonder they are taking their time. Total War: Warhammer III will be updated to include a separate campaign down the line that will include all the factions and lords from the previous two games.

So that means players will have access to over 60 playable legendary lords from the first two games, plus all the new lords that will be available in Total War: Warhammer III.

A map that large will indeed require a lot of balancing and time to figure out the engine issues, so it is no wonder the game got delayed. Hopefully, the delay is not that big, and it will be released in the early months of 2022 -as per their statement below.
