The latest Kickstarter success is a survival game about mutant-infested Hawaii

Kickstarter backed Fractured Veil is trying to make its mark in the gaming market with exploration, quests and a dungeon crawling mode. Even Keanu Reeves would be horrified!

There’s still room in the multiplayer scene for newer action and survival games to make a place for themselves in the market. Such is the case with Fractured Veil, a survival game set in a futuristic and apocalyptic Hawaii, which is so popular with the public that it managed to raise $100,000 on Kickstarter in weeks, which is needed to fund its development for a 2022 release.

The video game, developed by Paddle Creek Games, challenges players to join groups of up to 500 survivors on the once beautiful island of Maui, an archipelago in Hawaii, to battle against monstrous mutants, hungry animals and other humans vying for the resources of the place. Exploration mode, item crafting and much more await users who can travel alone or form alliances with other users.

Fractured Veil aims to be more than just a survival adventure, offering a solid mission experience and an RPG-like skill development system. In addition, and to reinforce the cooperative aspect, Paddle Creek Games has previewed various mazes on the map, with immense riches and invaluable resources awaiting the raiders. “Dive into abandoned mines, dank sewers and more to get the best loot, but beware, the labyrinths are full of mutant hordes and powerful bosses that require great firepower to defeat,” the team behind the game details the challenges.

Paddle Creek Games has already raised more than $101,500 to make a survival game as exciting as possible. We’ll see the first results of these pledges on Steam and early access in the second quarter of next year.
