Resident Evil 4 Remake: A Voice Actor Leaked The Look Of One Of The Characters!

It’s pretty funny to see (courtesy of a voice actor) the appearance of one of the Resident Evil game’s background characters (who is not to be ignored…) from the still unveiled, and still heavily rumoured, game…

Resident Evil 4 Remake has not yet been officially announced by Capcom. We have previously reported on the developments surrounding it. We first heard that M-Two was developing it. It’s the team led by Tatsuya Minami that helped with the third instalment (which is interesting because Minami was previously one of the leading figures behind PlatinumGames, the company founded by developers who left Capcom…). Then, we reported that Capcom had taken the project out of the hands of the fledgling studio, handing it over to Capcom’s premier in-house studio because there was no common ground on the direction of the game (M-Two preferred a modernisation of the original concept, while Capcom preferred the style of Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake).

And D.C. Douglas made a colossal blunder. He’s the voice of Albert Wesker, who had a starring role in the first Resident Evil back in 1996 (25 years since Resident Evil launched!). According to a tweet (mentioned by VGC), Douglas broke his non-disclosure agreement (NDA for short) during a live broadcast, when he showed concept art of Wesker’s character, who will appear in the Separate Ways segment (so at least this subplot could be in the Resident Evil 4 remake).

The concept art was sent to him by Capcom’s US branch. According to the tweet, Douglas shared the images with fans, asking them not to share them, as it could lead to a lawsuit from the Japanese publisher (too late now, as we’re writing about it, and the image is saved, so even if it’s deleted, the Internet won’t forget). Wesker looks different from the original, but the sunglasses that are typical of him (to cover his red eyes… because he’s a virus carrier, too, but let’s not get into the backstory) are not missing.

It’s not official, of course, but Douglas screwed up. (Especially because in 2013 he offered sexual services, sharing the size of his genitals, in exchange for being invited to an event. We’re not going to comment on that.)
