Boba Fett Comes To Fortnite: Star Wars’ Most Dangerous Bounty Hunter lands in Battle Royale

Players are gearing up for the imminent premiere of The Book of Boba Fett, the new Star Wars universe series on Disney+

Fortnite’s collaborations have become surprisingly commonplace, managing to string together characters’ arrival from all sorts of works and backgrounds to Epic’s Battle Royale. It seems that there is no popular franchise that can’t resist, having had anime characters as beloved as Naruto or after the recent success of the Arcane anime series, including Jinx, from League of Legends.

It’s not the first time the Star Wars universe has come to Fortnite, but this time it does so through one of its most iconic characters, the fearsome and mysterious bounty hunter, Boba Fett. The crossover serves to celebrate the premiere of the new Disney+ series that will focus exclusively on the character, The Book of Boba Fett, which will premiere on 29 December.

As described on the Epic Games website, Boba Fett’s arrival will bring the following items to the Fortnite shop:

  • Boba Fett’s suit with the backpacking accessory Z-6 Jetpack: A simple man who makes his way through the galaxy just like his father did.
  • Gaffi Rod Beak: The weapon of choice of the sand dwellers on Tatooine, a planet where Boba has long-lived.
  • Boba Fett’s Starship: Boba Fett’s signature Firespray-style starship. He inherited it from his father, Jango Fett.
  • Online Targeting Computer Gesture: Scan the horizon to find your target.

The landing of the Slave I in Battle Royale has come after the recent arrival of Fortnite Chapter 3, a fresh start for Epic Games’ popular title, which has already seen collaborations with the likes of Spider-Man and Gears of War, as well as a change of engine for the game, moving to make use to Unreal Engine 5.
