Hogwarts Legacy, the Harry Potter Inspired Game, Is Available For Pre-Order [VIDEO]

Hogwarts Legacy has been awaited by fans around the world, and now is available for pre-order

Few games have been as eagerly anticipated as Hogwarts Legacy. There are several reasons for this: Harry Potter has shaped the lives of hundreds of millions of fans around the world since the first book was published in 1997. The film adaptation, four years later, allowed it to change dimensions and become a worldwide phenomenon, a bit like the Star Wars or Marvel movies.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the first film, and HBO has brought together all the actors still alive (RIP Alan Rickman aka Severus Snape, Richard Harris aka Dumbledore in the first two films or Richard Griffiths aka Uncle Vernon Dursley, to name a few) for a little family reunion to look forward to.

For all these reasons, the whole world gets excited every time a Harry Potter release is announced, and the ambition of this Hogwarts Legacy has only increased our anticipation.

Hogwarts Legacy was announced with great fanfare at the PlayStation Showcase in September 2020 and was initially scheduled for release in 2021 but was quickly moved to 2022. Since then, there’s been radio silence. If stores don’t take any chances with the December 31, 2022 date, the game should actually launch in 2022, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that it comes out in the first half of the year.

We know almost nothing about the game except that it will be a role-playing game, but more single-player? With multiplayer? It would be nice to see a full MMO approach like FF14. However, the game shouldn’t be recommended for those under 16, suggesting that it won’t be a simulation for young children.

Although a new video was supposed to be revealed at the Game Awards, Warner Bros. decided at the last minute to replace it with the very brief teaser of Wonder Woman… The mystery is still unsolved!

In any case, we should have news about Hogwarts Legacy very soon. Pre-orders are available on numerous websites for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series for €69.99 for the old generation versions and €79.99 for the new generation versions.
