Harry Potter: Hogwarts Legacy Remains Undated But It Will Worth The Wait [VIDEO]

The Harry Potter game has had no news since the announcement of its delay earlier this year.

After being leaked to the public with video included in 2018, Warner Bros. finally unveiled Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world action RPG set in the same Harry Potter universe late last year with an eye on a 2021 release. Or those were the initial plans before postponing its release to 2022. Now, fans are waiting for a new update on its development, something that doesn’t seem to be coming, although Warner Bros. is sending a message of reassurance to its fans.

“From what we’ve seen, it will be worth waiting for its release and will offer a unique way for fans to interact with the franchise,” said Rachel Wakely, general manager of consumer products at Warner Bros. UK. The Harry Potter universe will next return to the big screen in 2022 with Fantastic Beasts: the secrets of Dumbledore.

Although according to his words, it seems that Avalanche Software will not arrive in time for the film’s release, scheduled for this coming April 15.
Hogwarts Legacy was officially shown during a presentation event of PlayStation 5 novelties, confirming later, in January, its delay. “Creating the best experience for this universe of magic is paramount for us, and we will give the game the time it needs”, justified from Avalanche. Since then, there has been no news about the production, which has had other titles such as Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Wizards Unite closes servers.

On the other hand, a few days ago, it was confirmed that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite would close servers before February 2022, thus putting an end to two and a half years of magic for augmented reality and geolocation video game signed by the creators of Pokémon GO. At the moment, it is unknown if there are more video games in the works about the Wizarding World created nearly 25 years ago by writer J.K. Rowling.
